On Aug. 26, 2014, Round Rock’s Mayor Alan McGraw, City Council members, department directors and staff participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge to benefit amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) research. In the challenge, people film themselves pouring ice water on their heads. They then challenge others to do the same.
The Mayor challenged members of the Round Rock Express, the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce and the Round Rock ISD.
