The Innovations Team presented the Innovations Award to staff members from the Fire and IT Departments who helped implement the Fire Department’s installation of its Computer Aid Dispatch (CAD) paging system.

The CAD paging system automatically notifies command personnel of any rescue or emergency, saving time and improving communication. Before, the incident commander at the scene had to notify command personnel, taking attention away from the emergency. By automating the notification, fire and support personnel can attend to their duties more effectively.
