Customer Service Week: A message from City Manager Laurie Hadley

Last year, I emphasized the resilience and determination that shine through during trying times. This year, as we reflect on the challenges faced, one thing stands out – our team’s unwavering spirit of service.

City Manager Laurie Hadley

Last year we had a tornado, this year we had an ice storm. Again, we didn’t just respond; we embraced our neighbors, lending a hand and a heart. Life is filled with unexpected turns, which makes it all the more essential for us to pause and appreciate the community we’ve fostered here.

As we celebrate Customer Service Week this year, the theme “Team Service” couldn’t be more apt. Service, in every form, lies at the heart of our achievements and virtually nothing gets done without teamwork. From improving infrastructure to addressing community needs and enhancing public spaces, our teams work diligently and consistently. Through good times and challenging times, we continue to enhance our projects and services to better serve our customers — our neighbors, families and residents. Indeed, there are countless achievements that highlight our dedication to service, and more are on the way with the bond projects approved by the voters in May.

Thank you for embodying the spirit of service every single day. I am profoundly grateful for each of you, and the team we serve on.

Sincerely,

Laurie Hadley, City Manager
