PAWS for Break Wellness Tour

Department Scheduling Available Throughout May

The PAWS for Break Wellness Tour brings a quick wellness reset directly to departments with visits from Ivy, the Fire Department therapy dog. Employees are invited to take a short break to unwind, recharge, and enjoy a positive interaction designed to help reduce stress and improve mood during the workday.

According to the program materials, even a few minutes with a therapy dog can help lower stress and cortisol levels, slow heart rate, improve focus, and promote overall well-being. Visits are designed as easy drop-in opportunities lasting approximately 30 minutes. Teams can schedule two to three visits per week during the wellness tour.

Departments interested in participating should contact Sang Dhar at Sdhar@roundrocktexas.gov with preferred dates and times to coordinate scheduling.
