City offering free health assessments to employees on July 28

A few minutes on July 28 could add years to your lifetime.

CareATC, in partnership with the City of Round Rock, will be conducting free personal health assessments that Tuesday at the Bob Bennett Utilities and Transportation Facility Training Room. The health assessments will be open to City employees, spouses, retirees and grown sons and daughters of employees in the City’s health plan.

A personal health assessment can assist in evaluating your current lifestyle, identifying hidden risk factors and tracking critical health changes. They include bloodwork, blood pressure evaluations, and height, weight and waist measurements.

Bloodwork can spot insulin resistance, allowing for possible reversal of prediabetes before it becomes type 2 diabetes. A check of blood pressure and cholesterol levels can catch conditions that can lead to damaged arteries while showing few symptoms beforehand.

Regular health assessments can assist doctors in gathering a clearer picture of your overall wellbeing, eliminating guesswork before a person’s health reaches a critical point.

A national population health management company, CareATC partners directly with employers to provide low-cost or no-cost primary care, occupational health and wellness solutions for employees and their families.

CareATC health assessments take place from 6-10 a.m. July 28. No fasting will be required.

Reserve your appointment online at careatc.com/patients, by phone at (512) 843-0697 or through the CareATC app.
