The Police Department is coordinating a fundraising event for St. Baldrick’s Foundation at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at The Brass Tap in downtown Round Rock.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation funds research for childhood cancers. Starting in 2000, the foundation began holding “head-shaving” events to raise money. Events take place in pubs, restaurants, schools, churches and more. Police staff have participated in a St. Baldrick’s event for the last six years and have raised more than $20,000 for pediatric cancer research.

Everyone is welcome to participate as a “shavee” (and get your head shaved), donate, volunteer or attend.
