Flu shots for this week have been canceled. The flu vaccine did not arrive as originally expected. As soon as we get work from the vaccine provider, we will reschedule.
The City is providing flu shots for employees during the week of Oct. 21 at the RockCare clinic and at the Health Fair on Oct. 24.
RockCare flu shot schedule
- Noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21
- 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22
- 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23
The Employee Health Fair will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at Prete Plaza and flu shots will be available in the Human Resources Training Room in the Business Center.
The shots are free.
Getting a flu shot often protects you from coming down with the flu. And although the flu shot doesn’t always provide total protection, it’s worth getting. Because flu viruses evolve so quickly, last year’s vaccine may not protect you from this year’s viruses.
