The City Council has declared Friday, Feb. 6, as Wear Red Day to show support for the awareness of heart disease in women. For more than 10 years, the American Heart Association has sponsored National Wear Red Day to raise awareness in the fight against heart disease in women.
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in the United States, claiming more lives than all forms of cancer combined.
Show your support and wear red today. Take a picture of people in your department and we’ll post them on EmployeeNet. Send pictures to smcintire@roundrocktexas.gov.
