Customer Service Committee
The Customer Service Committee is an inter-departmental team established in November of 2003 to strengthen and promote the City of Round Rock’s commitment to service excellence. The committee brings together employees from across various departments to collaborate, share ideas, and develop initiatives that enhance the customer experience for residents, businesses, and visitors. By fostering a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement, the committee helps ensure that exceptional service remains a core value in every interaction and decision across the organization.
Mission Statement: Our mission is to facilitate, encourage and promote excellent customer service in the City of Round Rock.

Customer Service Week 2026
Mark your calendar for Customer Service Week from October 19th-22nd, 2026! We’ll have fun, engaging activities each day, and will end the week with an employee luncheon.

- Tuesday, October 20: Service Excellence Award Ceremony
- Join us as we celebrate City of Round Rock employees and teams nominated for the 2026 Service Excellence Award and recognize those who are Going the Extra Mile to provide exceptional service across the City.
- 10:30-11:30 a.m. | Council Chambers, City Hall
- Wednesday, October 21: Department Appreciation Day
- Take a moment to recognize someone in your department who is going the bextra mile. Send a thank you email or handwritten note to a coworker whose efforts, support, and service made a difference.
- Thursday, October 22: Employee Celebration and Luncheon
- Wrap up Customer Service Week with a fun-filled Employee Celebration & Luncheon! Join us for a field day-themed afternoon featuring games and activities, lunch, karaoke, music, ice cream, and plenty of time to relax and celebrate with coworkers. Want to join in the field day games? Athletic shoes are required. Work boots will not be permitted for game participation.
