The City of Round Rock’s goal is to maintain a compensation and salary administration system which is equitable and competitive.
Pay and Classification Plan
The City maintains a Pay Structure which assigns each job title to a pay grade based on the principle of equity among positions requiring similar knowledge, skills, and abilities and having similar levels of responsibility.

Personnel and Salary Actions
A Personnel Action (PA) must be completed on any personnel action (i.e. a request for new hire, promotion, reclassification, demotion, transfer, separation, position number or status change, change in hours or leave without pay). The PA must be approved before the personnel action is official.
